Abraham
hey peepz.. juz wanna share sth that God spoke to me.. pardon me for my bad command of language.. hee..
i'm gng to share from Genesis 15.. there, God has promised Abram that he'll haf a son, that is from his own body and borne by Sarai(@ that time Sarai was barren). But Sarai, thinking that she's too old and barren, asked Abram to sleep with Hagar, the maidservant. Thus, came Ishmael, who led to chaos in the world today. They tried to help God fulfill His promise, this shldn't be the way. They shld haf waited for God Himself to answer their prayers. This is a terrible mistake that these 3 people made(quoted from Choo Chye from Fusion Reunion).
if we apply this story to our situations, our lives, "Isaac" is God's promise to us. What God has promised, He will fulfill. And His plans is to prosper us.
"I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out--plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for." (Jeremiah 29:11 The Message)
While some people are so gan cheong that they help God. God doesn't need our help. He wants us to wait on him. This gan cheong habit leads to many "Ishmaels" in their lives.
